This absolutely pristine SRT8 has been driven just a single mile and has been listed for sale through Vantage Auto in Moonachie, New Jersey, with a $50,000 asking price.

Yes, $50,000 is a lot of money for a 16-year-old muscle car, especially when you can still find brand-new Challengers gathering dust at dealerships. However, this generation of the Challenger was the final one before the car was controversially axed as Dodge pursues electrification, making it particularly desirable for those who mourn the V8’s demise.
Whether you favor the original 2008-2014 look or one of the later updates is a matter of taste, but either way, a well-preserved early model like this stands a good chance of appreciating if it stays untouched.

According to the seller, this Challenger SRT8 rolled off a delivery truck and then went straight onto a flatbed and was put into a collection. It has been owned by two people since new and includes the original window sticker and delivery order. That window sticker reveals it had a price of $42,640 when first delivered. The 6.1 liter V8 engine rated at 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque is paired to a six-speed Tremec manual transmission, which was a $695 option back in the day.
The classic muscle car is finished in one of the Challenger’s most flashy colors, Hemi Orange Pearl, and includes racing stripes with a faux carbon fiber finish. As the car has spent its entire lifetime in a garage, the exterior appears to be free of even the smallest of scuffs.

The interior is equally as perfect. It sports chunky seats clad in black leather and suede up front with bright orange accents on the backrests. The original airbag warning sticker is still dangling down from the glove box and there’s even a small card on the driver’s sun visor detailing some of the Challenger’s most important features.
The listing does not reveal if the car has been serviced, but if it hasn’t, it’ll need to have all of its fluids and tires changed and an inspection performed if the next owner plans to drive it. However, it seems more likely that whoever winds up with the keys will follow the previous owners’ example and keep it stored in a collection as the last of a dying breed and, quite possibly, an appreciating asset.
